Shows and Resume

“Broken Barriers” is now showing in the 2019 Women’s Works at the Old Courthouse Gallery in Woodstock, Illinois.

"Essentials Persist" and "Moon Serenade” are now showing at the Norris Gallery 2019 Watercolor show is St. Charles, Illinois.

I have always been interested in art but for the last fifteen years I have been able to devote more time and energy to creative endeavors. My watercolor paintings are based on the images the paint and water suggest or natural scenes that have inspired me. Photoshop is used to create new images that are printed or used as a reference for my paintings. (See my "Anatomy of a Painting" page) Recently, I have also been painting with acrylics and still trying to capture the elusive whimsy of nature.

I have always been calmed by trees, forests, and nature. Water is invigorating if it is in waves or flowing, but a calm lake in a forest is the ultimate place to relax. My art is very meditative and can calm or energize me depending on my mood. I hope that people looking at it can also be restored to their best self.

My work can be found in the permanent collection at the McHenry County Government Center in Woodstock and Body Language Studio in Crystal Lake. It has been in the Firehouse Gallery in Crystal Lake, Illinois, Hardy Center for the Arts in Ephraim, Wisconsin, Artistic Bits Gallery in East Dundee, Illinois, Woman's Work 2005 and 2009, 2016 and 2017 in Woodstock, Illinois, Art in the Barn  (2007-2017) in Barrington, Illinois and Gallery in the Garden in Woodstock.  I am a signature member of the Illinois Watercolor society.
